As spring unfolds and Easter draws near, we’re reminded of the profound power of renewal. Easter isn’t just a historical or religious event—it’s a personal invitation to reflect on the themes of resurrection, redemption, and inner strength. For anyone who has ever been broken down, betrayed, or left in the dark, the message of Easter speaks directly to the heart.
In my book, Undermined, I share my real-life journey through betrayal, hardship, and the emotional and spiritual erosion that nearly brought me to my knees. This isn’t fiction. It’s my truth. And it’s the truth of so many others who’ve walked through valleys they never expected, only to find themselves clinging to faith and discovering a strength they never knew they had.
Easter: A Reminder That It’s Not Over
The resurrection of Christ on Easter morning wasn’t just the end of a tragic story—it was the beginning of a triumphant one. It’s the ultimate demonstration that even after suffering, there is still hope. Still life. Still purpose.
When I was at my lowest, I couldn’t see a way out. Everything I had built was crumbling, and the foundation of my life had been completely shaken. But the message of Easter reminded me: sometimes you have to be broken before you can truly rise.
Faith: The Lifeline Through Darkness
Faith isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s the quiet voice inside that says, “Keep going.” When I wrote Undermined, I wrote from a place of raw honesty—because that’s where I found my faith again. Not in comfort, but in the chaos. Not in answers, but in surrender.
Faith became the thread that held me together when everything else was unraveling. It didn’t remove the pain, but it gave the pain a purpose.
Strength: Forged in the Fire
People often talk about strength as if it’s something you either have or don’t. But I’ve learned that strength is something that’s built—in the struggle, in the silence, and in the surrender. It’s not about always feeling strong. It’s about continuing when you don’t.
Undermined is proof that strength doesn’t come from avoiding the storm—it comes from walking through it and coming out on the other side changed, but not destroyed.
An Invitation This Easter
If you’re walking through something right now—if your life has been “undermined” in any way—my story is for you. I didn’t write Undermined to tell people what to believe or how to feel. I wrote it because I know what it’s like to feel like your world has collapsed, and I know the courage it takes to rise again.
This Easter, may you find the faith to keep going, the strength to rise, and the reminder that no matter how dark it gets… the light always returns.
Matthew 28:5–8 (NIV)
The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
